A Holistic Approach to Therapy

I see therapy as the practice of sitting with another person in a safe and affirming atmosphere while we work together to open up those spaces in head, heart, and body. For more than 30 years, I have worked as a psychotherapist in a variety of settings and have been in private practice since 2005.


I practice a holistic approach, addressing the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of my clients. Aside from a solid foundation in cognitive behavioral therapy, I have extensive training in spiritually-oriented and mind/body therapeutic models. Mindfulness, meditation, and self-compassion are skills that can 

help us navigate difficult emotions, manage stress effectively, and relate to others authentically. 

I will work with you to cultivate these skills.

LGBTQ+ Affirming

Working with the LGBTQ+ community as a counselor, ally, and advocate is an important aspect of my work. I am a proud member of PFLAG and a past board member of the Huntsville PFLAG chapter.
